Rozman True Value in Muskego Wisconsin is your Authorized Mosquito Magnet Repair Center! We have parts & service available for your Defender, Liberty & Liberty Plus Mosquito Magnets. (Sorry, we are not able to service Solar Pro or Commercial Pro models.)

We been asked a lot of questions about our Mosquito Magnet repair services, so we will try to answer the most common questions here. If you have more questions, please don't be afraid to ask!

Q: "How much will it cost to repair my Mosquito Magnet?"

A: Our flat labor rate for Mosquito Magnet repairs is $65.00. The cost to refurbish the average Defender or Liberty trap to "like new" condition is generally under $150.00, while an over haul of the average Liberty Plus is around $300.00. Again, these are just average prices, and each trap repair price will vary.

Q: "What do I need to bring in?"

A: We really only need the Mosquito Magnet "head". It is often helpful if you bring in the power cord or charger & the battery (Liberty Plus so we can make sure that all components are working properly. We do not need the stand or tank!

Q: "How long will it take?"

A: We will do our best to have repairs done within a week, but that of course will depend on workload and parts availability. Warranty repairs will be given priority, per our agreement with Woodstream Corp.

Q: "Is there a warranty on repairs?"

A: All Mosquito Magnet repairs performed by Rozman Enterprises, Inc. (d.b.a. Rozman True Value) are warrantied for a period of 1 year from the date of payment for the original repair.

If the same failure reappears within the warranty period, our sole responsibility shall be to complete the repair of the original defect; this limited warranty does not extend to other portions of the equipment which were not serviced, nor does it apply to other defects that may occur during the warranty period that are not part of the original problem. If additional parts are required and/or a new problem has occurred, the customer will be charged and agrees to pay for those additional parts. Only the labor will be provided at no additional charge under warranty.

The customer has no other rights as part of this limited warranty. Regardless of the cause of any equipment failure occurring within our warranty period, the customer will not be reimbursed for and agrees not to hold Rozman True Value responsible for an election on the customers part to have additional parts and/or service provided by another repair facility.

If the return of the repaired equipment is necessary, our warranty period will not restart; the warranty period from the original repair shall be the only one in effect. However, our warranty period will be extended for the period of time the returned equipment is in our possession. Shipping costs are not covered as part of our repair warranty. All shipping or other transportation costs required to transport the equipment to and from the service facility for additional repairs under our warranty are the responsibility of the customer. This warranty is void if anyone other than Rozman True Value attempts to service the trap after it has been repaired.

Q: "What if I don't live near Muskego Wisconsin?"

A: Shipping via UPS, Fed Ex or USPS is very economical! Ship it in and we will call when it's ready to ship back out! We can bill the repair and the shipping charges to your credit or debit card!

Q: "What about new Mosquito Magnets that are still under warranty?"

A: All factory warranty claims must have a return authorization
number!! You must first contact Mosquito Magnet customer service at (800) 953-5737 before we can do any warranty service work.
This is a Woodstream Corporation policy, not ours!

Q: "I already took my Mosquito Magnet apart and I can fix it myself...will you sell me the parts?"

A: Sorry, but no! Our contract with Woodstream Corporation strictly prohibits us to sell internal Mosquito Magnet parts to consumers. If you have to turn a screw to change the part, there is a pretty good chance we can't sell you the part.

Q: "You just repaired my Defender or Liberty and it still doesn't work. Why not?"

A: Three possible reasons for the trap not to be running for you are:

The LP tank. It is best to always start the Mosquito Magnet with a fresh full tank, and it is best to use a dedicated tank. If it is a new tank, make sure the tank has been purged. Please note that a Mosquito Magnet operates via a catalytic reaction, not an open flame. Therefore a tank that will work on a grill or a torch may not necessarily work on a Mosquito Magnet, if it has not been properly purged. A tank problem is often the issue when a trap will run here for us, but not for the customer at home. See your propane dealer for more details on tank purging, or simply exchange your tank here at Rozman True Value. All of the tanks in our exchange program are purged and "Mosquito Magnet Friendly".

Condensation. A Mosquito Magnet produces a great deal of heat, and therefore produces a great deal of condensation. (This condensation can be seen dripping out the plume tube.) Often, if the Mosquito Magnet is not leaning forward at the proper angle, the condensation cannot escape and literally drowns the interior of the trap. A simple solution to this dilemma is to make sure that the front of the trap is tilted slightly forward. The support legs may be bent slightly forward, or position the stand on a slight hill or decline. This will allow the condensation to properly escape. The error code for this fault will indicate that the tank is empty.

Power Supply. Often a power supply will appear to be supplying ample power, because the lights will illuminate and the fan will start. However, there may not be enough voltage to keep the trap running after the warm up cycle is complete. The voltage at the end of the 50' power cord should be a minimum of 12 Volts DC, and may be as high as 16 Volts DC. Check the voltage on the Mosquito Magnet end of the cord with a multi meter while the other end is plugged into a working outlet. If the voltage is less than 12 volts, replace the power supply. If you cannot check the voltage yourself, bring it in and we will test it for you. Please note that this power supply should never be used with an extension cord! This could also insufficient voltage and cause the trap to light up but not pass the warm up stage.

Liberty Plus models are not quite so simple! If you are still having issues with your Liberty Plus, please call us at (262) 679-6781 and talk to Randy or Steve.

Please try these tips on your Mosquito Magnet, and if you still have difficulty, give me a call and mention this letter. We stand behind our work and we are dedicated to helping you get the full benefit out of your Mosquito Magnet!
